PAUL GEORGE RACING have sourced two cracking yearling fillies (by OUTSTRIP and KODI BEAR) and are excited to offer them in one affordable partnership.

Paul took out his licence just over 12 months ago and has already forged a name for himself as a trainer going places. With a focus on attention to detail, giving you and your horse the best possible care, he heads up an ambitious forward thinking stable which gets results.

Both fillies took the eye as they showed great temperament, fantastic movement and are both fine athletic looking individuals.

OUTSTRIP X ANOTHER NAME

*VIEW PEDIGREE*

The sire OUTSTRIP was an exceptional two-year-old – Winning his maiden on debut over 7f before heading next for Group 2 company, just being touched off in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood (7f). Next was the Champagne Stakes (Group 2 over 7f) at Doncaster where he demolished the field (The Grey Gatsby 3 lengths back in second) before then venturing to the States to take the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf over a mile. Since retiring to stud duties he has proven a very popular sire with all the major breeders sending quality mares to him. His progeny has sold for up to £65,000 and 2019 has seen his first two-year-olds. He’s had a great start to his stud career with KNOW NO LIMITS and Listed winner FLIPPA THE STRIPPA flying the flag for him. He currently stands for £5,000.

Her dam, ANOTHER NAME was lightly raced and plied her trade in France before being retired for breeding. Superbly bred herself, she has already produced two winners from four runners (NOM DE PLUME, winner of 8 races and placed 19 times and the Gordon Elliott trained 4-year-old FLAT TO THE MAX, a winner under both codes). Her off-spring have consistently realised auction prices ranging from 24,000gns to £56,000. This family is littered with black type performers all the way down the page. ANOTHER NAME herself is by the 85+ rated GIANT’S CAUSEWAY mare BECAUSE, a full sister to YESTERDAY (Irish 1,000 Guineas winner, 2nd in the Epsom Oaks and second in 2 further Group 1’s) and QUARTER MOON (Champion 2-year-old in Ireland, winner of the Moyglare Stud Stakes Group 1 and runner up in the Irish 1,000 Guineas and both the Irish and Epsom Oaks).

With such a superb page and being out of the exciting OUTSTRIP, this filly has the potential to make into a fantastic racehorse.

KODIE BEAR X STARFLY

*VIEW PEDIGREE*

The filly is by KODI BEAR, a high-class miler trained by Clive Cox. As a 2-year-old he broke is maiden tag at the third attempt, winning the Listed Winkfield Stakes over 7f (5th in Coventry Stakes (Group 2) on his second start) before signing off the year with an improving second in the Dubai Dewhurst Stakes (Group 1). At 3 he continued his upward curve, winning 3 of his 5 starts, notably the Group 3 Sovereign Stakes and the Group 2 Celebration Mile. He raced with credit at the highest level as a 4-year-old and at the end of the season was retired to stud.

KODI BEAR now stands at Rathberry Stud (fee 6,000 euros) as the highest rated son of KODIAC (rated 123). 2019 sees his first crop of yearlings and there has been great interest in his progeny at the sales, with individuals realising as much as £90,000. 2020 will be a very exciting first year for KODI BEAR.

Her dam STARFLY raced for Highclere Thoroughbred Racing and trained in Newmarket by Jeremy Noseda. She only raced as a two-year-old, winning in gritty fashion on her second start over 5f at Windsor. As a broodmare she has already produced a winner (HARRY SPEED, winner of 2 races and placed 10 times to date) and her SHOWCASING yearling colt fetched 230,000 euros in 2017. STARFLY has a wonderful pedigree herself, being the half sister to black type performer MYTOGRAPHIE, who in-turn has produced a Listed winner in MUTIN.

This filly is a fine physical specimen with a fantastic pedigree, by a new sire for 2020, the future looks bright. An opportunity not to be missed.
