In all WASHINGTON DC won 6 of his 32 races. At 2 he won twice (including at Royal Ascot) and finished second in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes. He continued is racing at the top level with a number Listed wins and Group placings before landing his own Group 3 in the Phoenix Sprint Stakes.

WASHINGTON DC is at an early stage in his stud career but he has already demonstrated that he can get black type performers and tough, durable sprinters that thrive on racing.

This colt’s dam, ANALYTICAL is an unraced half sister to no less that 5 individual winners of an impressive 25 races. Most notable of her siblings are MYTHMAKER (rated at best 107), an eight time winner who was also placed 21 times including numerous Listed events and TIS MARVELLOUS, the winner of 9 races including a Group 2 in France, valuable handicaps and a Listed event, twice. At his best he was rated 113 and secured over £375,000 in prize-money.

ANALYTICAL was due to make he debut in a York maiden but due to injury she was retired from racing with a breeding career in mind. To date, she has produced 2 foals both have seen the track including most notably two-year-old gelding, CIRCUS LION.

CIRCUS LION has been placed on both starts in 2023 and has some very useful collateral form, with the winner of his last race now rated 84, the 3rd won next time out (rated 77) and the 4th winning twice since and currently rated 89. . It’s no wonder connects bought him back from the recent Tattersalls HIT Sale for 20,000gns.
