ALWAYS TRYING RACING SYNDICATE are delighted to have secured IDYLLE SAUVAGE, who is now in training with the North’s leading trainer, DONALD MCCAIN.
This lovely 5-year-old chesnut mare is by the mighty COASTAL PATH out of BELLE SAUVAGE (Damsire is a French Derby winner ANABAA BLUE).
The purchase came on the back of a 10 length victory in just her 5th career start and interestingly the horse beaten into 2nd that day has since won by 12 lengths to frank the form.
*UPDATE* Since the purchase her half sister has Placed in a listed race at Auteuil which may have already increased her value.

Training at Bankhouse in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside, Donald has over 200 acres and 3 gallops to work with.
He is ably assisted by Adrian Lane and has the experience of 3 times Champion Jockey Brian Hughes as his stable Jockey. Between them they amassed 155 winners from 663 runners in the 2021/22 campaign again broke the 100 barrier for the 2022/23 season leading to Brian hughes being a 3 time champion jockey.
Notable wins include Whiteoak, Cinders and Ashes and Peddlers Cross at the Cheltenham festival. And who can forget Ballabriggs winning the 2011 Grand National to emulate his father Ginger McCain.
We believe we have placed this horse with the correct trainer as Donald is a down to earth man, who has the animals best interest at heart.
Donald McCain purchased the horse on our behalf from Cobajay stables, who have a 100% success rate of supplying winners to him.
We are very excited by this prospect who will start in a bumper and progress to what we believe will be a great novice hurdle campaign in 2023/24. Particularly at the Northern racecourse where Donald McCain has a great strike rate of runs to wins.
On speaking with the trainer he said “She is tough and genuine and will be a lot of fun”.
