This striking colt is by SIDESTEP, a dual Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed speedster who plied his trade in Australia. He’s had a great start to his stud career with his progeny being well sort after and they’ve already eclipsed his own fine efforts on the track. His current star is Group 1 winning 3 year-old KIAMICHI who has already earnt over £1.2m in prize money in her native Australia.

This was a well thought out breeding match, with his dam CHEAP N CHIC being by Middle Park Group 1 winning PRIMO VALENTINO. She showed she inherited her sire’s speed with a devastating display at Brighton as 2 year-old, winning by 8 lengths and reached a top rating of 88. Success has continued for her as a broodmare, producing two winners in CALDI MILL and RUBY WEDNESDAY. She’s nicely related too, being half-sister to Group 3 winner GOLDEN NUN, who along with another sibling have between them produced Group 3 winning and Group 3 placed individuals.

This colt was well thought of as a yearling fetching £50,000 and continues to impress in his homework.
