This lovely son of LOPE DE VEGA has settled in well with trainer IAIN JARDINE at his yard in Dumfries.
Lope De Vega was a high-class racehorse and is proving to be one of the best stallions in the world.
CRYSTAL GUARD is out of a very well-bred unraced mare that is from a very good family. Crystal Guard has shown promise in all his starts on the flat for us and he’s open to plenty of improvement going forward. He was gelded last October and have been given time to mature. He has been schooled well over hurdles and will go hurdling through the winter.
He has also been treated for Grade 3/4 Ulcers that is going to be a massive help to him going forward. He improved a lot through the winter and won 2 races from 5 starts.He also ran well in his other 3 races and is expected to improve bundles for going up in trip this turf season.
