Following on from the success of their podcast, two of Newmarket’s most ambitious and forward-thinking trainers have teamed up to bring you their “OFF THE BRIDLE” PODCAST SYNDICATE.

GEORGE SCOTT and CHARLIE FELLOWES will each train a horse for the newly formed syndicate.

George launched his training career in 2015 and has wasted little time carving himself a reputation as a trainer going places. Already training a Group 2 winner in JAMES GARFIELD at home, his vision extends to global targets. George’s shrewd placing of horses has paid dividends, winning a very lucrative prize in Turkey, triumphing at the Dubai World Cup Carnival and winning in Qatar.

Charlie’s been training for nearly 6 years and over that time he’s seen a steady rise up the training ranks. Career highlights include a Royal Ascot winner in 2019, a third- place finish in the Melbourne Cup (third richest race in the world), two victories at the Dubai Carnival and numerous black type performances in England.

Named – CHARLIE FELLOWES – Trained by George Scott                                       2018 Colt – SWISS SPIRIT X FILATELIA *VIEW PEDIGREE*

Both Charlie and George independently liked this colt at the Tattersalls Ireland sales. SWISS SPIRIT himself was a high-class sprinter and son of Sire of Sire’s INVICIBLE SPIRIT. He’s made a promising start at stud producing plenty of winners, many of them multiple winners. He’s out of FILATELIA a winner in France and full sister to winners SWIFT CAMPAIGN and EXPENSE CLAIM (3 time winner and Listed placed).

A brown yearling colt with a lovely loose step, he has a deep shoulder and a strong hip. He looks a ready-made two-year-old. It’s hoped to have him on the track this side of Ascot.

Named – GEORGE SCOTT – Trained by Charlie Fellowes                                        2018 Colt – ZOFFANY X AFRICAN PLAINS *VIEW PEDIGREE*

This colt caught the eye of both trainers at the recent Tattersalls Book 3 sale. Striding around the pre-parade ring with such athleticism, he was so impressive that with a couple of extra bids be was secured. ZOFFANY needs no introduction, he was a top class six furlong two-year-old, winning The Phoenix Stakes. He was also high class over a mile at three years. He’s been an excellent source of two-year-olds recently adding ALBIGNA to his list of Group One winners. This colt’s dam AFRICAN PLAINS was useful in her own right, placing on her first start. She’s from a deep Juddmonte family which includes FAIR EVA.

This is a tall imposing colt with a huge step, he makes great use of himself and is clearly an athlete. He’ll take a little longer than the Swift Spirit colt. However, he should be an early summer two-year-old, who will progress throughout the summer.

The Syndicate will initially run from January 1st until October 31st.

There are 52 shares available.

The cost to join the syndicate is £2500 per share. With no further payments. You are more than welcome to purchase more than one share should you wish.

Each share gives an equal interest in both horses.

Social events & Yard visits will be enjoyed throughout the year by syndicate members.

At the end of the term the horse will be sold at Tattersalls and proceeds divided per syndicate member. If there is a majority agreement to keep the horse(s), the horse(s) could stay in training as a three year old. However, further funds would be required.
