Welcome to NEWGEN RACING, all of our horses are trained in Malton by Craig Lidster.

Why multi-horse ownerships are better than shares in a single horse.

Our first runner was in the middle of February this year and up to now we have had 5 winners from 40 races. 16 have finished in the first 4, leaving us a 40% strike rate for our horses finishing in the first four.

This is why as a group and a concept it works so well. If you were to buy one share in one horse for the year you may not get 5 runs in the year. If the horse gets injured, you have nothing to show for your money. We feel this has given us a great platform to work off as we look to 2022.

The horses:-

GOLDEN ALBA – 2 Year Old

The filly has a cracking walking action and a real fluent mover, physically she looks like a real early type and we would hope to see her debut early next season. The Dam (Albatraa) was unraced but her sister has produced a nice Golden Horn colt who is running for Shadwell.

RUNSHAW LANE – 3 Year Old *View Racing Record (Courtesy of the Racing Post)

A 3yr old by MAYSON, Runshaw has only had two starts this year. He made an eye-catching debut over at Beverley after being in rear early on staying on nicely up the Beverley hill.  The winner of that race – Ballet Steps, went on to run in a class 1 race 10 days later.

His 1/2 brother LEAPERS WOOD who was training training with Michael Dods and Julie Camacho was unlucky not to win as a 2yo and was rated 81 at his peak.

It’s great to have another young unexposed horse on the NewGen books and we’re pretty certain the gelding will help him improve plenty.

She is out of the Dam INDIGO BEATS who has bred one runner and one winner. Her full brother DISCO BEATS won as a 2yr old for John Quinn last year and had a rating of 74 and was only beaten 3/4 length on debut and went on to run in the Weatherbys super sprint at Newbury. The filly is a good looking filly and is very straightforward, a good size and looks plenty early. We felt we could forgive the sire stats knowing her full brother had the ability to nearly win on debut and win on his 3rd start. She certainly gives us a great chance of having an early winning 2yr old filly and we can’t wait to see her progress over the winter.

DIVINE CONNECTION – 5 Year Old Filly *View Racing Record (Courtesy of the Racing Post)

Divine Connection is a cracking filly by cable bay that we picked up at the sales at the end of last year. She won on her second start for NewGen Racing and we’re certain we haven’t seen her at her best yet. She’s a great filly to have running in the NewGen silks and there will be plenty of races for her throughout the year.  She is now being schooled for a tilt over hurdles this spring.

MASQUE OF ANARCHY – 6 Year Old Gelding *View Racing Record (Courtesy of the Racing Post)

Masque of Anarchy is a lightly raced son of Sir Percy who was working a lot better than his mark suggests pre COVID lockdown. We know he is only lowly rated but from what we have seen we are sure there are a good few wins in him over 1m 2f – 1m 4f on good ground in the UK. We feel he will turn out to be a solid handicapper who will race plenty on the turf and on the AW.  We have seen her handicap mark increase by 21 lbs last year with some great performances and we think there is more improvement to come.  We will be going summer jumping as-well.
